The visit intends to provide general notions about the historical and artistic events of the building and to recall the atmosphere of the Italian Renaissance courts: we will admire the decoration of the Asse Chamber, designed by Leonardo da Vinci. We will view fine examples of fifteenth century’s furniture such as the Coretto of Torchiara and the Cassone of the three Dukes, along with a cycle of frescoes depicting the story of Boccaccio’s one hundredth novel: Griselda.

The tour ends in the rooms of the former Spanish Hospital, inside the new Pietà Museum to view the Pietà Rondanini, the spiritual testament of Michelangelo.
